How do you change the names of websites, just not the URL?

At school, they say that you can change names of websites. Such as on Google, you could change the name to ilook, or whatever you want it to be! Even thought you changed that name, if you type in www.google.com, it still goes to google. The name on the front just changed. How do you do that?? I am having a presentation and well, I cannot involve any real websites names. But, I need the Google, website as a demonstration. HELP! I AM ONLY 13, and my teacher said, if I can learn how, then I can change the name for my presentation! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!|||You cannot. The name in front of the address is part of Internet Explorer, it simply is set with a program that modifies a resource within the program itself to state the browser%26#039;s name, or branded for packaging such as OEM software installs.|||If you can%26#039;t use the domain name of a website, just enter the IP address. Every %26quot;website name%26quot; corresponds to a temporary address called an IP address that consists of four numbers separated by periods (eg 209.85.661.36 was the IP address for Google when I looked it up from the UK). You can find this address by going to the command line (in Windows go to Start-%26gt;Run... and type in cmd, then press Enter). Once in the command line, type %26quot;ping%26quot; followed by the website name (eg [ping www.google.com] show below).

The IP address is 209.85.229.99. Be careful though, IP addresses often change daily, but if you look it up at the time of your presentation, you should be plenty safe.|||well there%26#039;s a bit of code that you can add to the end of the url so you can change the text and stuff but that%26#039;s not permanent or anything and it goes away as soon as you refresh the page or click on anything. it would be fine for just taking screenshots however. i%26#039;d tell you the code but i have totally forgotten what it is , try searching around
