Only the first part of my first name shows up on gmail chat. how do i change this?

my first name has two parts, and only the first part shows up. How do I show both parts? Do i have to go to google talk to change this?|||Although i don%26#039;t use Gmail, I think it%26#039;s very likely that you need to put an underscore between the two parts instead of a space
