I have searched around yahoo answers and google and found many people asking how to legally change their name in a specific state.
But does that mean they will have to change their name every time they move to a different state?
For example, if I am in Washington state and legally change my name according to the process for this state, am I now the bearer of my new name throughout the United states or just in Washington?
I would like to hear from anyone who has had or knows someone with experience in this.
Thanks|||If you legally change your name in any state, it is valid everywhere.
Make sure the changed name is on your Social Security record and any credit cards, licenses, etc.|||hmm interesting
