How do I change the "Instance Name" of an object?

I am following a tutorial trying to learn Flash. I am using Micromedia Flash 8.



The tutorial tells me to change the %26quot;Instance Name%26quot; of an object I made, but doesn't tell me how. I've spend about two hours looking through the program itself and almost as long doing google searches and can't find ANYTHING explaining where to go to change an object's %26quot;Instance Name%26quot;.



Please help.
